Structures for Shakes, Glacier/wind/earthquake Observations, and BUDDIES (out of order)!

We enjoyed reading with our buddies!

In science, we read about Agents of Change and created a list of processes that can cause rocks
to break apart, rocks to move, and rocks to be deposited.

We carried out investigations, using models, to show that wind, glaciers, and earthquakes can cause rock structures to break apart and move.

Earlier in the week, we designed a model building (with more tape than we should've used) that will experience minimal effects from shaking. We carried out an investigation to test the models and its component structures during the simulated earthquakes.

All of our model buildings survived the earthquakes.

Note for next year... we will limit the amount of tape. LOL!

We love Celebration Sticker Time!
Kids share something that they are proud of (something they learned, pushed through, or got better at) with Mrs. C. Then, they get to pick a sticker!

Congratulations to our Kindness Award Winner.
The Grit award winner was not at school during award time.
The student will get the award on Monday!
