State Research, Cover the Field, and Picture Day Fun!

 

We worked with a table partner to create possible hooks for our descriptive essay.

The kids chose a state to research and then completed a poster.

We presented our information to the class.

We are learning so much about the regions in our country!

Our leader of the week is sharing his pictures with the class.

Picture Day fun!

We played a game called "Cover the Field."

It is a strategy game involving 4 dice.

We use the formula (_ + __) x (_+__) to create rectangles that fill the board.

We want to create the largest area, but still fit in the space provided.

We learned how to solve problems with parenthesis, practiced our multiplication, worked on area, and had to use some strategies to solve! I loved hearing all of the math talk. Way to go!
