Energy Resources and Energy Use
In science, we have been learning about different renewable and nonrenewable
resources that we can use for energy.
Today, we researched to determine advantages and disadvantages to each energy resource.
We created presentations to showcase our learning.
Later in the week, we visited the website called U.S. Energy Information Administration to make observations about the energy usage in Illinois. We compared and contrasted it to a different state in a different region. We realized that different regions/states have different renewable/nonrenewable resources and the state's climate has an impact on how the energy is used.
During our LMC time, we had a virtual author visit with Christina Soontornvat.
She shared with her audience the long process of creating a graphic novel, her inspirations, and we also got to see her adorable dog.
One of our students had her question answered by the author!
