Equivalent and Comparing Fractions... and MORE!
We created our own fractions and compared with our shoulder partners.
Then, we used our strategies to determine if the fraction is less than a 1/2, equal to 1/2, or greater than 1/2 to place them on our class number line.

Comparing fractions with different denominators was one of our challenging skills.
We practiced a different way by playing fraction war.
We learned how to find a common denominator and then compare the fractions.
This will help us in our next few fraction chapters as we add and subtract fractions.
In Social Studies, we are learning how to tell the story of the history of Illinois.
This week we listening to several different stories passed down from the Indigenous People that lived in our region. We used a story board to help retell the events.
Many of the stories share how the people of that time depended on the land.
Friday is Share Something Great Day!
Kids share cool things that they are up to, things they can do, and things from home that they want others to know about.
