Buddies, Historical Fiction, and Kindness/Grit Awards



Buddies!

We did a fun end of the year reflection activity with our buddies on Friday.










We are note taking to answer questions about our historical fiction book club book.
When we are done with our note taking, we will create either a pamphlet or a slideshow showcasing our learning. I can't wait to see how these projects turn out!

 Mr. Schwartz and a few 5th graders came in to play some songs for us! One of our very own got to participate in one of the songs! Way to go! The Choraliers came to sing and dance for us! Congrats to our Grit and Kindness Award recepients! Our Winter Party was a HUGE hit! We had so much fun! Museum Exhibit, Regions, and Rainbows

Museum Exhibit Project: In this activity, students worked together in teams to use evidence, including patterns in rock layers and locations of features on Earth, to explain that landscapes and Earth change over long periods of time. We used picture cards and a Smithsonian Institute global map to sort and analyze the patterns. When we were done, we created an exhibit to showcase our findings. Buddies! It was a beautiful day for a beautiful day! We took some time for a morning break on the playground. Last week's Grit and Kindness Award Winners! Region Research: Students are introduced to the five regions of the United States and begin investigating each region’s characteristics, including natural resources, climate, geographic features, and agricultural products. Library Mystery, Power of Influence, and We Taped and Wrote on the TABLES!

We are busy solving clues in teams in the library figure out the mystery! Thanks to all of the volunteers for helping us tie-dye our shirts for field day! GO USA!!! Our leaders of the week are sharing their posters! We learned about the power of influence in Economics! We worked in teams to measure angles with protractors.
